WILLERSLEY Scale: 2mm - 1ft. Gaugs 9mm ('N' ) by Chris & Steve Berry Size: 5ft by 2ft (plus operator space), Operators: Two, Transport: One car. Willersley depicts a modern market town somewhere on the South yorkshire/Derbyshire border around 1998-2008. Trains pass through the town on their way from Leeds and the west Riding through to Derby and beyond. There is a preserved line running steam trips and the occasional diesel rail car from Giblingthorpe and also brake van rides to Hope Park station. Occasionally private rail tour companies run excursions through the town on certain days of the week using famous steam locomotives so you may see Flying Scotsman or an LMS Jubilee class being prepared for duty by volunteers of the Giblingthorpe and Willersley Railway Preservation Trust. The layout is a modified Graham Farish Magnum track plan glued to chipboard. The buildings are a combination of scratch built and Hornby Lyddle End. Some of the vehicles are kits and white metal castings. The layout shows the next stage up from a basic oval and siding.
